GEM's Vision Statement

Hello, so yesterday marked the last day of CCA for Term 3. Good job to everyone for successfully learning how to play Summer's Breeze! :D Do continue to do some self-practice because the conductor will be around for the next practice. According to Nikki, you just need 10 minutes everyday.

Here's a video of TJC's Guitar Ensemble playing Summer's Breeze. The sound quality isn't that good but I still hope it'll aid you all in practising:

Lastly, if you've forgotten or do not know, this is GEM's vision statement:

Jeremy Monteiro & T'ang Quartet

Hey, on the 29th of May, a bunch of us J1 & J2 GEM members went to watch Jeremy Monteiro & the T'ang Quartet at the Esplanade! I think it was money well-spent despite a few less interesting parts of the concert (I spotted a few people yawning, even I was also guilty of doing so). x)

All in all, here are 2 valuable points that I think we should pick up from the performers:

• Do not be afraid to sway your body according to the music. I think you'll be better able to feel the music & hence play better! :)
• Do not let distractions get in your way whenever you are performing. The same goes for when you are rehearsing/practising!

GEM Handover

Hi, we had our handover session on the 9th of May at Shenna's House. :) Basically, the JC2 EXCO told us JC1 EXCO what our individual duties were. Expect to see a few funny & less-than-glamourous photos of some people (Maybe yourself? Haha.)!

It so happened that Shenna's birthday was nearing (13th of May) so we had a mini-celebration. :) Happy belated birthday!

Shenna's family was really nice to prepare food for us. :)
