Gold!

Hi! Today was our SYF competition day & we've managed to achieve a Gold! We were aiming to get a Gold with Honours so some of us inevitably felt a little disappointed after the results were announced. However, considering that only one JC got Gold with Honours, we should be really proud of the fact that we managed to live up to the high standards for this year's SYF. :) Go GEM!

I hope that we the JC1s will work really hard so that we can put up a wonderful public performance next year. :D

Now let's move on to pictures from SYF! I'm only going to post some of them. The rest of the photo's can be found on my Facebook account:

It should be public. :) If you can't view them, just add me up & you should be able to then!

Well wishes from JC1s to JC2s. :)

Dressing up!

While waiting for the actual performance etc, we all tuned our guitars & did what we were supposed to do. For Xing Hua, it was EATING! :D

:D

The stage on which we played & achieved a Gold. :)

Please don't kill me for putting up this picture!

Group photos.

All in all, SYF was a really fun experience. Before I go, I'd just like to post videos of our SYF choice pieces performed by NUS Guitar Ensemble (Coup de Coeur ~ Les Reves du Matin) & Ngee Ann Secondary's 1991 CO (Dance of the Yao People).

Good night!

Hi! :) This is Cheryl, your new Publicity IC! About 2 weeks ago, 6 of us (Nikki, Ming Yi, Hudson, Wei Long, Jonathan & I) performed during the JC1 Common Lunch at the library. Was really glad to see some familiar faces i.e. GEM people in the audience. It was our very first performance together so we inevitably felt a little nervous. x) At least I did!

Anyway, here are some pictures from the lunchtime performance. I hope the entire GEM will be able to do a good job on the 16th of April. :) Practise hard!

Thumbs-up by Ming Yi!
